I have no doubt that
there are many people who will visit our web site who are not washed by
the blood of Jesus,
who have not been
saved by grace alone, through faith
alone, in
Jesus Christ alone
(Ephesians 2:8-10, Romans 4:1-9). To you, I would once again plead, let go of any notion
that man
can or must do
some good work to save himself. That work has been done by Jesus on the cross. To be
saved from
damnation and
hell, one must repent and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15) and call upon the name of the
Lord for
salvation
(Romans 10:13). Without a spiritual rebirth (John 3:1-15, 2 Corinthians 5:17), one cannot become a
child of
God.
It is God who grants salvation; man cannot simply demand it any more than he can earn it. Unless one
humbles
himself before the throne of God with a repentant heart and a desire to follow Jesus, that new birth will not
take
place.
When He was on this earth, Jesus called his disciples by saying, "Follow me." Nothing has changed. If you
would
have
eternal life with Christ, you must be willing to follow Him now. I hope and pray that you
will consider this and
that you will turn your life over to Jesus and
become a "new
creature" in Christ (2
Corinthians 5:17).
So consider carefully
the decision you will
make today, It will have eternal consequences.
